The hotel is located on the quiet main street which leads from Interlaken, through Wilderswil, and on to Grindelwald and Lauterbrunnen. Interlaken is a 5 minute drive away, but Wilderswil is a charming village in its own right.

The rooms vary considerably in size. On average, they are small to medium sized. They are simple and cosy in style with low ceilings and lots of attractive, exposed woodwork and solid, rustic furniture. Both the rooms and the simple, but clean and functional bathrooms are in good conditions. It should be noted that some rooms are located in the hotel's equally charming residence building which is opposite the hotel.
