The Parador of Merida conserves the structure of the former 18th c. convent, installed on the remains of a temple dedicated to the Concordia de Augusto, and offers the guest the opportunity to get to know the rich heritage of the very beautiful town of Merida, and its natural surroundings. Roman, Mudejar and Visigothic elements adorn the interior, which is characterized by an intimate, welcoming tone, and displays luxurious details, pottery and plants. The living room, in the former chapel of the convent, the inner courtyard and the beautiful Mozarabic gardens are some of its most noteworthy spaces. Most of its rooms are exceptionally large and all of them fully equipped with bathroom, air conditioning, hair dryer, satellite TV, radio, mini-bar and telephone. Four meeting rooms are available for conferences, receptions and cocktails, with conference and work tables. Hotel facilities include a restaurant with a capacity of 80 people, swimming pool, sauna, gym, car park, garage, coffee bar, safety deposit box, money exchange, medical assistance, lift and access for the disabled. Pets are not allowed. |
There are 82 rooms available, distributed around the patio and some of them are in the anexe. The decor can be considered austere, like cells with terracota floors, vaulted and beamed ceilings, wooden furniture and views to the garden.
