The Grand Hotel, built in 1874, is an exquisite hotel which offers modern comfort and luxuries with traditional Norwegian hospitality. The hotel stands on the famous Karl Johansgate. Guests can enjoy the views of the Royal Palace and walk to public transport, restaurants and shops near the hotel.

This hotel enjoys a fabulously picturesque yet practical location right on the banks of the fjord and close by the departure point of the Hellesylt to Geiranger ferry.

The rooms are all in modern annexe buildings next to the historical main building. All but six of the rooms are located literally a couple of metres from the edge of the water and have beautiful uninterrupted views of the fjords and surrounding mountains. The rooms are simply, but stylishly furnished and they are small and comfortable and in good condition as are the modern bathrooms.
