Grand Hotel The Grand Hotel takes only a short walk from the waterfront, and approximately 15 minutes walk from parliament square. Built in 1985, the hotel has a very modern facade with red and grey walls and panels. Fortunately the bright colors blend very well with the surrounding grassy areas. The building resembles an apartment block but certainly has a pleasant look. This is a high class hotel, with superb international atmosphere - possibly the best hotel in Iceland.
