Located in a good location, near to Nile River and main attractions, the Sofitel Old Winter Palace Hotel in Luxor is different from any other hotels and is not as outstanding as the Old Cataract Hotel, its sister hotel in Aswan. The hotel is famous for once there was an Egyptologist, Howard carter, who stayed at the hotel while studying about the misery of the Egypt’s ancient history. The large rooms are designed in early 1900s style with modern comforts. Decoration is neutral. The marbled bathrooms are in very good condition.
