Surrounding Area Four Seasons Hotel is located in the historic Rocks district, a short walk from the city's shopping and business centres.
- Cockle Bay and Darling Harbour are Sydneys newest restaurant precincts, with five-star and themed restaurants, cafs and bars. Harbour tours make these regular stopping points.
- Sydney Harbour Bridge is the worlds largest steel arch bridge. Opened in 1932, it carries eight vehicle lanes, two railway lines, a footpath and a cycle way. A recent innovation is BridgeClimb, a three-hour adventure to the top of the bridge, 134 metres (440 feet) above sea level. Regular groups depart day and night, accompanied by a professional climb leader.
- The vast Hunter Valley is home to over 100 wineries and hosts over one million visitors annually. Known for its fertile soil, it has a winemaking tradition going back over 150 years. A magnet for wine buffs, the area also offers fascinating colonial towns, rugged national parks and a wide range of scenery and activities.
- Royal Botanic Gardens: At the edge of Sydneys downtown is the Royal Botanic Gardens, an oasis of green and quiet at the harbours edge. It includes a distinctive array of Australian native plants and examples of English-, European- and American-introduced species, laid out in the manner of a formal English garden. The Botanic Gardens tropical plant collection is housed in an I.M. Peiinspired, temperature-controlled glass pyramid.
